Profile:

SiCortex, the emerging leader in compact, low power Linux® clusters, designs and markets a family of ultra low power high performance Linux computers systems. The company has engineered a complete cluster node on a chip, enabling the design of multi-teraflop computers that consume a fraction of the power required by current high performance computers. SiCortex's systems deliver dramatically more performance per dollar, per watt and per square foot, enabling the proliferation of multi-teraflop computing to a wider range of users.

SiCortex computers are open source Linux platforms, the predominant operating environment for the high performance computing (HPC) market. Current Linux cluster application software will operate on SiCortex systems without modification.

Products:

SC5832:
An enterprise class computer featuring 5832 processors, eight terabytes of memory and 2.1 terabits per second of I/O capacity. The SC5832 provides 5.8 teraflops of 64-bit floating point performance, in a compact low power cabinet.

SC1458:
The SiCortex SC1458 offers a complete 1458 GFlops (peak) computing system packaged in a single cabinet. The cabinet holds from 3, 6, or 9 circuit modules. Each circuit module (CM) accommodates 27 SiCortex node chips and associated memory.

SC648:
Designed for departmental users and offering 648 gigaflops of 64-bit performance, 864 gigabytes of memory and 240 gigabits per second of I/O capacity, while fitting in less than half of a single standard 19-inch rack. It generates so little heat it can be powered by plugging into a 110 volt U.S. wall outlet or international equivalent.

SC072 Catapult:
A 72-processor cluster in a whisper-quiet, low power desk-side cabinet. The Catapult fills a gaping hole in the high performance computing application development infrastructure by providing routine personal access to large numbers of processors. The Catapult, like all of SiCortex’s systems, features a standard Linux environment, enabling applications written and tested on the 72-processor machine to run on other SiCortex systems and be easily ported to the world’s largest supercomputers.
